I have a 38T with the short C barrel also needs a reseal but for $50 bucks it looks pretty good.I have been wanting another one of these for a long time.

I don't plan on it, I read somewhere about a tip of putting a strip of masking tape across the rods 4" up to give something to aim for, so that's what I plan on doing

Problem is you can't aim if you are shooting point blank.  It's particularly easy to point it too low when you are that close.  If you are far away and hit it too low you are either a really bad shot or your gun has bad accuracy, neither of which speak well of your prospects for good shooting.
Black air pistols matter.
