I saw those the other day on Mav's page and bypassed them because of no thumb-rest, knowing you were seeking such grips.  :P

Glad you picked them up cause they are a nice set and will look good on your gun. I also like the early Crosman style reminiscent of the grips on the 1940's and 1950's Crosman shooters.

Thanks Carl. He just posted that he has made up some oak blanks and asked for anyone interested in them to PM him.

Thanks guys. Now I have to find the box that has my dyes in it.

I picked up a set of the oak ones from him, however mine do have a very small thumb shelf.  But it was the classic look that attracted me and I've already got the perfect build for them in my mind.

Mav does some really excellent work.

After looking for quite a while for a set of grips for my 1740 that doesn't have a thumb rest, I finally found them. CAPOF's own MavStone made these and offered them on his FB page, and I snatched them up. They are unfinished, which is perfect because I want to stain them a custom color. These grips are just what I need to get me off my butt and finish the pistol.

Here's a link to his FB page: http://www.facebook.com/maverick.stone.18

New grips from Mav Stone to be used on my new 2240 build with a Cerakoted olive drab main tube and other goodies. These grips are unfinished and made in the Crosman old style.

I was looking for parts for my new 1377 and ended up ordering a 1322 from Mac 1.  After talking with Tim, he helped me better understand the different mods and helped me balance the trade offs. I went with a 14" barrel, Gen II Brake, upgraded valve, FT piston, accuracy mods including the trigger and extended bolt probe. Should do over 600 fps with lead ammo at 12 pumps.  :-*  I ordered it last night and it shipped this afternoon  :D  I had already ordered the LPA rear sight for the 1337, so I can stick it on either gun. I am super excited. I will work on modding the 1337 myself, but it'll be nice to have the professionally made 1322. The smileys on this forum crack me up.   :-\
