Ordered today from Creedmoor for the 10m back deck range.  Put a couple of pellets into the cedar siding playing around with new sights.  My wife hasn't seen the holes yet, but I'd better nor make any more

Here is my quick, informal review:



So my wife bought me one said chrono from Midway.  Went on sale for 99.99.  Got it yesterday.





So I put it to the test.  Brought out the Can Gun (one on bottom):


Now I have it set for popping invasives in my backyard, so it's really underpowered and quiet.  Especially for having a Cothran PowerHouse valve.  The RVA is set just to hold the cut down 13XX spring in place.  But I never ran a full shot count with it set like this.  I actually got over 30 shots with one heck of a bell curve, and that was from 3kpsi down to around 400psi. 

I had the Caldwell setup with the IR lights and thank goodness they have a 110 plug.  Hooked my Moto Turbo up via the 25' cable and turned on the App.  Shot a few over the unit just to verify it was working.  Then I went for it.

The Error 2 on shot 16 was a lighting boggle.  When using the IR, turn off any CFL's or they will throw a false read.  But you all knew that.

When I sent the saved shot string over to a couple friends, the program set it up in a spread sheet as a download.  Very convenient.  Also, I have a lot of room for my Can Gun to get a proper tune and better shot string.  But that is another day.

I have the Pro Chrono from Competition Electronics and really like it, but for me to get their IR and bluetooth adapter it was more than the Caldwell with shipping.  So if you are looking for a good, reliable, affordable unit---get the Caldwell.

Looks like you a good deal and a great unit for doing some serious data logging.  I've always found the lighting to be the most critical part of any chronograph except if you are using it outside in natural sunlight.  That works the best.

Basic units are usually cheap and a way they get you to buy the accessories and then that's where they make their money back.

Good results and couple of nice shooters you have Joe.

     Ok Guys , if you have any problem finding pellets its not my fault !  Got these in todat 10 of the tins of Grizzly .25 cal. and four of the Diabold .30 cal.

The only thing is Carl I'm runnin out of room to put it all !  Looks like I'm going to have to get back in my wood working shop and make some more cabinets to store it in !
