I've ran a pretty good search on this but I'm still unclear. Does anyone know if this sight http://www.archerairguns.com/Rear-Field-Sight-p/aarfsight.htm needs modification when used on a 1377 with steel breech? I have ordered a 760 barrel band but I have no idea if it is a late model band or earlier version.

Should work no problem, though it's possible the front sight might need modding.  Steve Archer's a nice guy, and if you give him a call he might be able to answer your question regarding the front sight.  He's not, in his own words, a pistol guy.  That's why he doesn't sell them. RC

I`ve been mithering over this for a week now, Ebay, specialist sites,Mims units, everything i can think of but they are, for me, too expensive. Then it hit me. Over here we have a cheap and cheerful make of gun, SMK, they make a suprisingly nice(I think) underlever called a DB4.It has a standard version with both sights forwrd of the stock. BUT they also do a "deluxe" version too. It has a rear sight way back just above the trigger.Guess what?....it fits on the 11mm scope rail!!!! available as a spare part for.......£10......result, i`m looking for a picture but i can`t really find one,but it`s elevation and windage adjustable just thought you might like a heads up on an alternative to more expensive kit.... :-*

Note.....£10 is about $426 at current exchange rates......... :D   ;)

took one off a B3 and made a quick pic, it does fit but the blade seems a bit high

Very nice looking piece there Brutuz.     :-*
You know, after I posted I realized the 760 band probably doesn't have a front sight on it so I'm not sure what I will end up doing.
For the price, that rear sight doesn't look too bad. Are the adjustments fine and accurate and would you recommend it?

Just a quick check if it fits, it does fit :-*

Haven't tested it, could be worth a try, but instead of investing in the sight only it could be worth the money to source a cheap B3 incl. the sight ??

you could drill and tap the barrel band and put a screw in it or drill a hole put some glue/epoxy put a peg in the glue shave it down until desire sight in has been reached.for stuff like that i like to use that gasket sealer for automobile windshields thats sticky black stuff can have many different uses

That's probably what I will end up doing for now 1377x. I'm hoping to get a TKO for it sometime this winter and I'll have to figure something else out. A red dot might be the ticket too, but I've never even looked through one so I'm not sure I'd like it.

nothing better than looking through a dot.i look at it as my pupil and shoot both eyes open.i have taken out moving targets like that
now that crosshairs has shown us a great low profile adapter for the weaver and picatinny rail i might have to try out a relex sight, which is a "red dot" without the tube
