B. Uncharging the Airgun (after reading all instructions in this manual
and following Section 5.)
• Always uncharge your airgun before handing it to another person , when
you are done shooting, and before storing.
• To uncharge the airgun, cock and lock the bolt as if you were loading
a pellet, (see Section 4A) but, DO NOT load a pellet. Fire in a SAFE DIRECTION.

That is an excerpt from one of the three owners manuals that Crosman offers on its website for the 1377 and I wonder if they are right, because this is what a video on youtube instructed:

Pump the gun one time. This should be better for the pistent's seals.

I may think your opinions will deviate from the Crosman instruction.

I recieved my gun today and I am radther happy despite it would cost me not 65$ but 100€ wich corresponds with a value of 131$- and I really don't want to put any harm to it. Nothing. As you can see I am radhter overcautious, but since there is a suggestion saying that I should questions the owners manual's advice- I will.

I'll try to give you the link.

If your still looking for the forearm you won't find it any cheaper.

Maybe your using a translator, German to English and things are not coming through quite right. The topic of your thread "only experts opinion is requested, no speculat" is not going to get you a lot of information. It borders on being rude.
Long days and pleasant nights to you...

+1 to that, unusual way to ask for help, and members of this forum didn't create the Euro vs $ problem, the Euros did, so that problem is mis-placed here ok?

if you are demanding an expert, call the factory, we are just humble hobbyists.

Don't feel insulted for me making clear that I am not looking for vague advices, but for absolutely reliable information to deliver a perfect service to my gun. Furthermore this is the greatest, even an international forum for Crosman pistols, so why not ask for highly qualified support? I think we have a lot of specialists/ experts here who know their gun better than their hometown and modify them in every way to make them become high-tec, aswell as people like me who are unexperienced with guns and are eager in order to handle them with the highest care possible. And despite this message is not adressed to everybody maybe, this is what I do need at the moment. Do you understand me?

I was not insulting anybody.

And why shouldn't I casually mention that I payed twice what people in the US usually pay for it? Isn't that an interesting fact? I was neither complaining nor making anyone in the forum responsible for me paying 130$. Maybe I wrote it down to make people understand even better why I want to take flawless care about the PC77.

And now having dealt with that let me see your favourite pictures of your guns (My camera is unavailable.), and lets have some cake or ice-cream, or whatever you want and let's go shootin. Off course that is phisically not possible, but it's the idea, that counts.

And thanks for the link to the forearm.

with that said...
im not an expert but have seen issues related to not leaving a pump or two in the gun to keep seals operating correctly
my guns use light valve springs so i cant speak for a stock valve.
i left my gun un pumped and when i tried to pump it ,it would not seal.after that i make sure i store my pumpers with at least 2 pumps in them and havent had that problem since
i understand where you are coming from with your wanting to keep the gun operating properly.im sure if the gun costs double there so do the parts
since you have to keep your gun operating i suggest if you can get pelloil the recommended oil for your gun then use only that at all costs
here are a few of my favorite pumpers

It is fine to store a 1377 empty of air OR with one pump in the valve. I have done both and do not notice a difference.

Those are all impressive guns and have mostly undergone massive modification. I am watching them with interest. You may want to tell about their increased capability. I am interested in that, too.

I cautionary pump it up two times.

1377x

cant remember too much about the guns in the pictures there are threads here about them
the bottom polished silver 1377 is my powerhouse
i had it shooting 20fpe fifteen feet from the chrony.couldnt get any of the other 13xx/2289's to perform like that.they were mostly 11-12fpe guns
in its normal mode it was shooting .22cphp(14.3gr) at 550fps at 10 pumps
when you see it again its going to have a totally new look, which will be its final look once again.now its going to be a dedicated pistol no adding a stock or any changes will be made again.
its not a bad idea to store with a couple of pumps many 1377 owners do
closed mouths dont get fed

The German

O thank you.

And a 22 CAL producing 550 feet per second- that's a blast.
And may you be so kind to tell me what fpe stands for?

And it makes me happy to be hearing you will present the silver one after modifiing it. So what will we be looking at?
You say it will be turned into a radther basic pistol design and will get rid of the large stock transforming it into a carbine.

What about the paint job and other extras?

Won't there be any grenade launchers on it? And scopes and... other exotic components? And what about the rear sight?

If youre looking for an expert opinion you wont get it here. We arent experts, we're lunatics who go beyond the extreme with a hobby that most people think is equivalent to collecting different sized tic tacs.

Everything we do for the most part is speculative....cause if it isnt then we already know the results. We are experimentors, we are inventors, we are innovators....but if we were experts we would have no possibilites in front of us...

"Dear Mr. Vernon: We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong, but we think you're crazy to make us write an essay, telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us, in the simplest terms, in the most convenient definitions. You see us as: a brain, an athlete, a basket case, princess, and a criminal. Correct? That's the way we saw each other at 7 o'clock this morning. We were brainwashed."

Pump it, or dont.  I doubt youll see a difference...i never did.

The German

Ehm I get your point but... please don't ignore mine- I mean you can. But not when you are talking to me.

And I am not so sure if you are right with saying that we have no experts here.

Thank you.

I am not an expert!!Just enjoying a hobbie that I grew up with.  I have always had an airgun, but did not know you could do so much with and to them. Experts no we all just enjoy shooting and tinkering with the airguns.
