Noob lube question for a pumper (1377)

I just mounted the steel breech and I'm about to test it out. The one weird part was that the tiny barrel set screw sticks up from the breech a bit. Is it supposed to be flush or is that how they typically are or does a couple of threads stuck out of the top?

If you are using the 1/8" long 8-32 setscrew supplied with the steel breech kit and there is a thread or two still showing, I suspect that the threads aren't cut properly in that breech or you were supplied with a screw that is too long.  The supplied screw is supposed to be 1/8" long and it should be a little below flush when tightened down on your barrel.  If it is protruding above the breech, it could possibly interfere with your preferred scope mounting, not to mention it might snag on clothing, gun case fabric, & etc
