Still playing with brakes. How do you like this one?  Still raw (but polished) aluminum yet...

Nicely done! Is the brake effective or just decorative?

From a purely design aesthetic, the touches of polished pieces are classy, but the brake tends to be a little overwhelming on the front end. It might be interesting to see some black accents on it (i.e. front 1/4" in black, last 1/2" in black, countersink the holes by 1/8" and put in delrin inserts, etc.). Not being picky, just thinking of stuff I would try if I had the tools and talent.

I am revamping several guns this month.

The Beeman R7 stock got a custom stippling job.

The Crosman 2300KT was returned to a more stock configuration. This peppy little sucker (550 fps in .177) is going to get revved up with a Pro-Top.

The PC77 Carbine is getting a BNM multishot breech and 21" shroud.

nice chef  :-* Do you have the pro-top already? Reason I ask I tried to get one a couple of weeks ago and no more were available then but that could be just my case.

I purchased mine several months ago. Works as advertised.

Not sure how it would look, but maybe a couple of black O-rings in the grooves on the front edge of the brake.   ???

:-\ I just finished them. One .22 and one .177.

I used the factory brass bolts and a steel 1/16'' probe for the tip.

CW, let us know when you install them and give them a try.  The back end looks to be a little bit short, could be an optical illusion from the angle of the camera, and I'm wondering if there is enough length back there to cock the gun.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.

Will do!  IF they are short, I have a easy fix.  ;) ;)

I just posted up the whole process for all to see, too.  :-\ :-*

I was going to put the bluefork wire stock on my 1377 but the tube adapter doesn't fit with a Crosman steel breech. Sent Greg an email we'll see what happens.
Got a reply from Greg today he is sending a new adaptor , said he fits them with his breeches and there is no problem but that he will make it right and he did  :-*

Points well taken.  I did this one to powder coat it, but kinda like the aluminum, so I polished it.  One thing is the flash lights up part of the chamfers on each vent so it looks sloppy and distorted in the picture.  I'll try to get a chongman quality shot at some point. Each of the vents have been "crowned" as well as the muzzle end.

As for effectiveness: One of the few "tools" I do not have is sound level meter (dBs), but I can honestly say that the tone of the report is different in a pleasant way.

I am playing with several variations of muzzle brakes, so I am certain I will settle on a few and add them to the bloodlines.

Carl

I installed one over the weekend in the 2240, works perfectly. I could have even trimmed a bit more as the bolt goes further rearward after the hammer cocks.  :-* :-* :-\

Next is chrono to see if I have any differences.

Well the concept has been in my head a long time ...
And this is proof that it works ..
still in the concept stage, it is now on my 2240, will be going on the as2250
when I get a smaller counter, I did find one but it's $80 ...and figure out some other stuff
so it is the ruff so to speak , but it works ... :)
