my other landy has a v8 and auto box and will do 120 (which is fast enough in something with the aerodynamics of a brick designed for off road use)
but gary's right i'm getting old  :D

1377x

got the accustoms piston and pivot pin installed
this is the first 1377 i have had that needed the pivot hole reamed for the pin
i also got the ss 2260 changed over to the daq valve i think its going to have about the same power as the wmva valve
my hammer is so heavy and the valve spring is so lite i can breathe on it it and it will fire. i put a 2240 hammer spring in it trying to bring down the power but the only thing that worked was the built in power adjuster in the wmva rear cocking hammer assembly. its turned almost all the way out. turned in the gun gets pretty loud

Has anybody ever tried to install a 2240 Crosman steel breech on a 1377? The two tubes have different od. I wonder if a 2240 breech would work.

Bazmati2020

I think I have.  I have fitted a standard Crosman steel breech to my 1322 bought via ebay and posted as for 2240/50 13xx all fitted fine and works a treat.

Please excuse my ignorant assumption, I think the Crosman 2240 and 1377 steel breeches are probably the same breech other than the bolt probe.

I have already piled enough monies onto two 2240s with all the goodies. Now I want a 1377 and a 1322 and am trying to avoid  wasting any more monies unnecessarily. I am thinking of discarding one 2240 and have the breech transferred to another 13xx.

1377x

the breeches are interchangeable! go ahead and make the changes just use the right bolt for the caliber

Ordered a spare trigger and hammer from Crosman for my Vigilante. I wanted to see if I could remove that crappy parkerizing (or whatever they do to them) and polish them. I figured if it went bad I still had the originals. Finished them this morning and installed. Came out very good (I think).

First mods to a 1322C I got for Christmas (my first air gun): I exchanged the OEM plastic breech and rear sight for a steel breech and LPA MIM rear sight. Then, I honed and polished the trigger and sear mating surfaces. Lastly for today, I compressed the sear spring by 3/16 inch, reducing trigger pull to 2 lbs = 30 ft. distance, benched 10 shot shot group reduced from silver dollar to dime!

BTW: Thanks to this forum I quickly and easily built a silent pellet "trap"
4 sticks x Gardner Bender Duct Compound from Home Depot. $2.48 ea. (located in electrical vs. heating and air).
1"x12"x12" white pine board.
*duct compound easily stuck to wood.
*pushed duct compound sticks into each other to make sure of no gaps.
*used 1-1/2" stick-on bulls eyes.
