Anxious to see how your two stage piston progresses.  Do keep us posted.  :)

Superb!   :-*   Looking forward to the next report.  I have been looking at the two-stage pump drawing every few days.  Got some aluminum stock yesterday (no appropriate brass available there) and plan on a first mock-up just for practice and fitment during the snow storm this weekend.  Can you say what spring you are using?

And a nice press, too!

This week I made a 1377 pump arm pin removal and installation tool, and I started the build of a two-stage piston for that SSP 1377. Outer piston in brass, and inner piston in SS. 8)
I like it. Never did like beating on my pistol to get the roll pin out. :-*
We need to keep going and have fun doing it.

Thanks for the nice comments, gents :).

@ quickster47: There should be some interesting developments real soon, tomorrow I'm gonna get a mini-lathe, so no more need to be at school to work on my parts!  8)

@ CraigH: The spring came from an old Crosman Black Venom plastic pistol, it's 0.451'' OD, with a 0.048'' wire diam., and about 5 7/16'' in length.

@ mudduck48: I broke a plastic barrel band on my M4-177 because of the pounding on the pivot pin >:( .  Never again :-*.

The pin press has a 2'' opening, the swivelling push pin is 1 1/8'' in length, with an additional 1/4'' length that goes in the screw. I guess it could be made out of an inexpensive C-clamp. Mine was a class project, adapted to my airgunner's needs  ;) .

Cheers all!

I got tired of using an arbor press to tear down the PC77, so I replaced the pump arm pins with bolts and Davio's pivot pin can be pulled out with a long 4/40 bolt and sleeve.
J-B or GooGone?
Tissue test and Q-tips
JSB Exact or LUM-77?
Longer barrel?

I have a brass trigger on the 2260 trigger group and wanted a safety to match.  So, I got a brass rod from Onlinemetals and used a couple of files & drill press to shape the rod.  Sorta fugly but the worst parts don't show when installed.  Works fine.
