Thanks guys! Polishing that tube was NOT fun. I don't think I will be doing another one of those for a long long time :D  It looks even better than the pics since the auto focus went straight to the co2 cap. The cap was also alot of work, I even polished the stem, my thumbs are killing me  ;D

excellent work BE
we used to have a polished gun thread here looks like it needs to be revived with all these polished guns around here
anyone who has a gun that meets the criteria please post here

+1 Yep  :-*  put one in the parts graveyard just to learn that  :o
how bad was it hit?
they can be saved if its not to bad
my brass valve in my phase 2 1377 had the seat gouged by a bad brass valve stem. it would not seal to save my life. learned a trade secret now that same damaged valve is holding air like a champ and now it is using a new style white hat valve stem. doesn't have the power I was getting from the brass valve stem but still respectable

i bought a 2250 that some one had nicked the sealing lip whilst trying to angle the port  my soloution was to use valve grinding paste and an AA battery
i spun the valve in the lathe and used the +ve end ot the battery with valve grinding paste on to reform the sealing lip
seems to have done the trick is it similar to how you did it ed?

X2. Superb finish, BigE. I have done a few polish jobs but seemed to never quite get to the true mirror finish.
