This might help someone with loose grips, what I did was smear a thin layer of silicon seal around the inner edge of each grip, let dry over night, put them back on and that ended my problem. this was done on both my 1377c & 2240 and I have no release problem, just be sure they are completely dry before you reinstall them

Good tip!  Anything that stops the shifting makes a big difference.
