This breech does not fit older model 1377 air pistols with a sliding breech cover. Why ??? http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Crosman_177_Cal_Steel_Breech_Kit_Fits_1377_1740_1760_PC77_Air_Guns/4386

Brutuz

The sliding breech uses another type of barrel/probe

The Crosman steel breech will fit on the phase II 13xx.
You'll need a newer barrel due to the bolt probe.

The steel breech will not fit on a phase I 13xx.
They have a steel breech with the barrel peened in place and the pump tube is not drilled and tapped for the #4-48 front breech screw.

is that info correct?
because not all phase 1 1377s are made that way mine wasnt.the 1300 has a 1 piece steel beech/barrel combo and that was removeable too.
this is the first time i have heard that the phase 1 breech is not removable ???
my phase 1 1377 was made the same way as my phase 2 and the steel breech and current barrel/bolt worked on my phase 1
the breech and the barrel is one pice on the phase 1 i can that but again they can be seperated
heres my phase 2 rear cocker with steel breech

if your gun looks like this with the same grip frame
slide the breech open in front of the bolt where you drop the pellet in look and see if there is a screw there it will be kind of small.if you can take a pic and post it here of the spot where the pellet drops in with the slide cover opened so we can see what you are working with

Just the original steel breech.
I plan to make to make a breech, with 3/8 rail or tapped for scope mounts.
A couple of set screws to hold barrel in place instead of peening it in place.
I'll be using steel, aluminium, and black Delrin.

you know the phase 1 1377 tube is drilled and tapped with a 4-48 screw right?

pic phas 1  ??
just as i thought
you can put a any aftermarket crosman steel breech or other aluminum, brass breech on your phase 1 1377.just make sure the breech you get has the 4-48 breech screw hole in this position also known as the old breech screw location
you will need the current bolt and barrel too

1377x that would be this one correct ?? http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Crosman_177_Cal_Steel_Breech_Kit_Fits_1377_1740_1760_PC77_Air_Guns/4386;jsessionid=B8B41E79C0478EA2D6BB543A1FC4D75E.app01  :-* can't see where screw hole is
yes it is!
remember you have to get the new style barrel also since the kit comes with a bolt
call the number listed
http://www.crosman.com/cs/manuals
ask for crosman part number 1377-075
thats for the stock 1377 barrel pc77/phase 3 1377 barrel..it should be @ $12 shipped or up to $16 depending on cost of barrel shipping is a $4 flat fee so buy as many needed parts as necessary like extra o-rings for the valve just in case you go flat top and cut the outer o-ring when installing the valve extra safety bearings and springs bolt o-rings they can go faster than the others being the bolt gets opened and closed quite a bit
the numbers for the o-rings are floating around the forum or just go to the link posted find 1377 get the numbers there.the o-rings are the same for all phases except the bolt get the numbers from the phase 3/pc77 evp for correct numbers for all parts
if you want a longer barrel then you will need a discovery 24" barrel cut and crowned at desired length
closed mouths dont get fed

oh yeah!! :-*
it has a set screw that secures the barrel, so no rotation, no wobble best thing you can do with the gun
second best thing is to add a flat top piston and valve
closed mouths dont get fed
