going to get a crosman 2240, is the steel breech really needed.

i have a Crosman xl1100 and already did the trigger and pivot washers, i plan on doing the 2249 trigger as soon as it comes in,  right now i  have 5 cartons of CO2 stored plus some boxes of 15, right now ive got 6000 pellets in 22 saved up and around 5000 in 177when i first got my first pellet rifle a month ago every time im in walmart or academy i buy pellets co2 and peloil as well as look at other pellet guns almost brought home the 1377 last night
