Another breech question

Looking for the best breech that won't cost more than the gun. The gun is a 2289, 75.00  Any ideas. This will be my first mod. Is this the best first mod?

Best value breech is from Crosman. Another option is a custom breech from forum member fivestar  (AnthonyR).

The breech is among the top 'must do' modifications. It provides a base for oodles of optics choices and securely holds the barrel. You can enhance accuracy and bump power a bit using a flow-through or extended probe bolt.

After the breech, anything else you add will eclipse the cost of the gun. Get used to it.
