Ill have my 14.5 inch barrel soon and will i have to take the steel breech off to install the barrel or can i loosen the barrel screw and the barrel band slip the old factory barrel out then slip the new barrel in, thank you in advance
You will have to remove it, as the barrel fits onto a sleeve that goes between it and the air tube. You could try loosening the breech screws and lifting the breech/barrel free of the sleeve, but it will probably come out of the tube also.
Thanks bro, still debating if i should order an 18 inch for another project, i have the 2289 im wanting to do something with also
Just ordered a 18" barrel for my 2289g, then I will put 2289 barrel on the 2240
This will give an idea what to do.

Your very welcome hope it helps howie. Don't forget keep your frame upright or you will lose the small ball and spring for the safety.
That's the same video I used when I installed the steel breech on my 2240. It was very helpful.
Dave,
This "sleeve" you're referring to...is it the TP Gasket Like on the 13XX's
where'd Put the 1/4' poly TP EVENTUALLY? Because I May do the Same. I do have a choice between a 10"
1322 Barre or the 14.5" barrel for the 2289!
Mario
The sleeve goes into the hole on the bottom of the barrel. Here is the exploded view.
