Title: Time for some TLC
Post by: Crosshairs on March 18, 2013, 02:15:01 PM
Well i have been shooting my stock 2240 a lot lately knowing i was going to use it in a match this month.Practicing every day it's a old buzzard from 1999 and finally she broke, first the bolt handle snapped off then she started leaking from the front of the valve. So as most of us do i have the parts on hand. This is the first time i had to do any work on this old dog. You can see how flat the front seal got from over the years of use.

Seems like a tuneup is in order.  You've gotten a lot of use out of it.RC

Did you leave a cartridge/powerlet parked in her for extended periods of time?

Looks tome like it was used more than a lot.  More like lots and lots and lots and lots.  How old was this particular 2240 by the serial number?

Whoa, that's the year I was run over by a hit-and-run driver and left for dead in Orlando.  Can't say for me that it was a good year.  :(

Hmm...that was also the same year I went to Disneyland and took off after I hit a guy crossing the street. Say, you weren't wearing a blue polo shirt that day were you?
