Title: My Trail Pistol target shot
Post by: BigErn on May 15, 2013, 12:19:03 AM
I'm not making this up  ;D ;D  This was 10 shots with the cocking assist on shooting at 10 meters and zero wind. I am convinced that this gun is a piece of junk  >:(  What a waste. It will shoot 10" low every couple of shots. Something is wrong here  ???

Crazy I know...

I am so glad that I didn't jump on one of these when they first came out like I wanted to. I'd be mad I didn't spend the money on another 2240.

After seeing this I quickly put it away  :-[  I couldn't waste another pellet on this thing. Not sure what's going on here, maybe a bad piston seal  ???

Yup. Bad Karma.  I've moved the rear sight 1 1/4 " forward to try and sight it in. I drilled and tapped for a 8/32 set midway from the adj screw and the dovetail mount screw. I drilled a 1/16th deep hole in the tube for the set to stake the sight. I replaced the dovetail mnt screw with a hex bolt and blue loctited ALL. I have 50 pellets through it and so far it hasn't moved. That's 40 better than before all this. No sight in yet. Just seeing if I have it anchored.
This thing is a turkey as sold. The trigger is something else. If the sight set works and I get a minute of can around the campfire, I guess I win. Really wish I had my money back !!

It shouldn't move with all that extra work you did. I'm sure they knew at Crosman that the sights moved back the whole time while testing this thing and did nothing about it  >:(  Maybe it broke my new scope  ???  It has some kick to it and yes the trigger is really bad now that I have played with it. I wish I had my money back too  :(

Damn...a slingshot might do better.  Sucks you guys are stuck with this.  Glad I listened to the early reports from you all and cancelled my PA order.

Wow Big E......don't even know where I would start with a group like that....defies physics  :(
Can't really tell from the pic if some were going in sideways but yaw aside in 10m there's got to be mechanical issues because a smooth bore with cheap bb's will group that well  ???

All of us that bought this piece of DUCK POOP should try to tell Crosman the  they DUCKED up on this one. I can not send mine back because I mod the front sight. If yours is still stock, send it back and eat the shipping. Tell them, that this thing is------
