Title: What's in your shooting bag?
Post by: Chadtheguru on July 16, 2013, 10:00:29 PM
I just started airgunning. Like, just in the past week.

I started keeping my pellet tin, CO2 Carts, Pellgun Oil, and various allen wrenches in a small tool bag to keep as a "shooting bag." I also threw in a precision oiler a friend of mine gave me. What else should I keep close by whenever I go a-shooting?

What's in your shooting bag? Or how do you keep your shooting stuff?

Good one Trucker... or 1/8" alum or brass weld rod cut in half for pistols.

pellets stay on my dresser and I keep almost every tool I need for switching scopes, tightening screws, and most importantly, disassemlbing my 1322 all in a estate 20 gauge shot shell box. just grab the hammer and i can have my 1322 apart in minutes.

Casual Shooting

Basic tools that fit everything threaded
Pellets
Paper and pen
Tape measure
Paper targets and tacks
DIY target stands
Water and snacks
Bug repellent
Cell phone
.38 revolver (for the bears or locals)
Hand pump, cartridges (if necessary)

Benchrest Shooting; add...

DIY knockdown bench
Front rest
Weed whacker (to cut out a lane)

Now I need to add a clearning rod. Good call dptrucker32chip.

I think your better off with a .357. or a .45.

I keep all my airgun materials in a small tackle box. It contains multiple tins of pellets, cleaning supplies, and basic tools.

Aside from that, I'd say only take what you think you'll need for that particular outing, which is often just gun and ammo.

Even those would probably bounce off.

The .38 is just a little insurance when I am solo in the woods.

I pretty much just shoot in my garage or the backyard so everything I need is close at hand.

Awesome. I see a few things I can add to my little bag.   :-*
