I modded the sight and trigger on my 2240. What a difference! And mounted a scope on my Quest rifle. Sighted them in, and BAMM! I wanted to keep them stock, but not now. Now I wanna mount a scope (need to buy a metal breech still) on my 2240. My shooting got so much better after I mounted the scope on my rifle and modded my 2240 ;)
I was at Wally world today, supposed to be grocery shopping, but found my way to the sports dept. :D I looked at scopes (window shopping) for the 2240, but didn't find one.
Is this the beginning of the modding addiction? ;D

This event is not good news for your wallet.
The Crosmantis bug bites again. ;D And like he said, there is no know cure. ???
Ahhhhhh life of the capof member at it's best. Wasn't even a year ago I joined to see how the 1377 pistols were because I found one on Craigslist for 25 bucks. Now I am totally broke but love my shooters.
Yes!!! You will never look at your AG's the same again;)
It's addictive alright!!! :D
Did my first ever mod on a 1377 last year and I knew it wouldn't end there. :-*
Have a CCS 2400KT on order for the wife, I'm already making some bling to put on it before the box hits the floor!! ;D
Am working up some plans for more mods in the future...some hunters, some plinkers and a "masterpiece" show gun or two. The only bad part to all of this is an already dusty wallet. :(
Now you`ll be thinking what can i do to my gun next i never ends i started with a steel breech . SO far i`ve changed every thing but the grip frame anf trigger and the hammer ended up with enough parts that i could build another gun buying just a few parts ???
Jim
LOL guys, too funny ;D I need a job now! My husband wouldn't be able to support my new drug of choice (modding) ;) GAWD! I want to go work at Crosman again. But I want to work in "warranty" this time. I worked in that dept when we were slow in the machine shop. That's where the guns go after they are returned, taken apart, and get new parts. And I would be able to get parts dirt cheap as an employee.
Actually, I had a dream last night about getting my job back (again) at Crosman ...... Oh gawd! I think I have been bitten by the modding bug! :D Mudduck, no cure?!?!?!? I'm dead, 'cause I may overdose LOL.

May as well just do like the rest of us - accept it, embrace it and forge ahead! ;D ;D ;D

;) I'm gonna try. I quit there for personal reasons last time. First two times were for a summer gig to earn extra money. But just maybe they will take me back. BUT I worked at another place in Victor NY that also made Crosman parts. I'm gonna try to get back in there, too ;)

I suppose that is true because once you are getting steel breeches, you are in WAY too deep.

You know your a true Crosmaniac modder when you get a mini lathe and mini mill to make your own modding parts and the first thing you do is mod them before you make any mod parts :-*
Jim
ps been there done that ???

Definitely late stage Crosmanitis right there!!!;)
:D ;D :-*
PPQ ... look for a Pistol Scope with long eye relief (able to hold pistol normally at arms length and see thru scope without holding up to eye)
Use medium high or high mount rings to give room to load pellets in breech (my mounts are all medium height).
Now you're gonna have to change your login name to punchpressmodqueen ;D ;D :-*

I have to look into that. I'm blind as a bat (I wear glasses). That will help a lot.

Once you join this Forum there is no turning back. You get sucked in like a whirlepool and there is no returning. Welcome to the crosmanitise zone. You can never leave. Start making room for more air guns.
;D You guys are too funny
If you haven't carbinized (is that a word?) your 2240, as in making it into a rifle, then you'll need a pistol scope on it. I don't think most Walmart's carry pistol scopes so you may need to check elsewhere. I put a scope on Old Glory last month and she's a lot more fun to shoot now, and more accurate. As you can see, my Crosmanitus is in the advanced stages at this point, so there's very little hope for me. :-X
Thanks. Another to look into. Off to look for a steel breech ;)
Sounds like a yard sale to get mod. money. :-\
