I see 2250 parts all over fleabay like the air tube and front grip, but I wanted to confirm if the parts needed to convert a 2240 are still available from Crosman? I put together a list from the stickie and have even thought about trying to piece together the entire gun as I would upgrade the breech and trigger frame anyhow, and could convert it to a .177 using my 1377 barrel.
Although this route just came up as an idea last night, when I start pricing everything out I would want to upgrade from the base 2240... buying a P-rod may just be a better route. And I could cash in some bonus money from work as Amazon gift cards as they have P-rod's for $352 shipped and would only need to buy a Hillman pump out of pocket.... decisions, decisions
Depends on if you want to tinker or shoot. I am almost at the magic number for buying a p-rod myself.
As for Crosman having spare parts? I have been told through posts that they do not have many of the 2250 parts in stock. The AS 2250 parts are the hardest to come by. Are they still making the Outdoorsman? If so, I would order parts listed in that EVP.
Rich
buy from ebay as a last resort
a few months ago every part of the 2250 was available. where do you think the guys who have multiple parts listing are getting theirs
i can build a 2250b from scratch with a 1701p trigger,steel breech and stock for @ $135 complete with s/s screws
bds has/had a 2250b for sale here for close to that price and his is tuned iirc

I do like the tinkering, but getting something out of the box that meets most of my specs would be a nice approach and probably save some $$. Guess I could also get a CCS gun as the base set-ups are only $30 more than a 2240.
that would be your best bet going the ccs route

Think you are right... unless I change my mind again, plan to order a 2400KT with a LW barrel. I figure this keeps the gun length a bit shorter along with giving some options for adding a LDC down the road. And of course the sweet barrel puts icing on the cake :-*
Add a 1701p trigger frame and the gun is done.
that pretty much sums it up. the 2400kt is cheaper than building a 2250. i think i mocked one up and it was about $90 + shipping
You can get 2250 tubes from BnA.

I bought that exact kit from them for what is now my 1750 HPA target shooter. I deal with Eric (owner) all the time (seeing as I only live 20 minutes away... ;) :-*). Great guy with TONS of stuff for Crosman and Industry Brand but unfortunately he doesn't ship internationally anymore :( .

Pretty hard to beat the 2400Kt CCS deal. And although the LW barrel is probably overkill for me, I can always swap in a different barrel down the road if I want something longer.
Base Unit: Base Assembly: $65.00
Barrel: 10.1" Lothar Walther Match Barrel (.177 caliber): $45.59
Front Sight / Muzzle Brake: Blade Sight: $2.95
Grips / Stock: Shoulder Stock: $11.75
Total: $125.29
