Title: Cheapo bipod mod for bench shooting.
Post by: 45 Bravo on June 12, 2014, 06:00:40 AM
You know we all have one.
One of those cheap bipods with only 2 positions, open &closed, and invariably, the open position is too tall for bench shooting.

This one came off an old airsoft gun, and it is adjustable for height.

But in its shortest form, it is still too tall.

Well, I took it apart by driving out the pins (from inside the legs to outside as the pins are tapered)
Then using a file(a dremel tool will work too) I cut a notch half way in between the open & closed notches

Now it has a perfect height for shooting from a bench, and is still adjustable for more height by extending the spring loaded legs.

Just like the more expensive models.
