I was just surfing the Internet window shopping for wood grips and aside from eBay, GMAC and a couple of others, I didn't really see anybody out there who custom makes grips any longer. We all know RB Grips and Crooked Barn don't make/sell them anymore, but is there anybody else who makes grips to order?
Hope all is well and have a great week-
This guy named Keith makes some awesome wood grips. His info is/was posted on airgunartisans.com
I bought a couple sets off ebay seller rgoi1994, very nice quality. Maybe contact him and see if he does special requests.

I keep bugging Davio to make grips. He says he will, but not right now. I told him he is missing out on a gold mine. Let's all bug him to make some grips. :P :P

There is a guy in New York has site for grips he makes for firearms, Beautiful stuff but not for pellet guns.
Instead of bugging Davio we should all start bugging the New York guy.
Search for tommy2feathers and look at what he offers.
Now there is a great idea, let's bug a guy that makes firearm grips to start making airgun grips. He could make a fortune. ;)
Well, they do say the way to make a small fortune is to start with a large fortune. :P

I don't how much this is related, but Quickster can attest to the fact that I actually called Ralph from RB Grips just before he closed to see if I could purchase the already-successful business, but he politely declined. Even in the way he said "No," he was (is) still such a kind gentleman :-*
When Archer finally gets his new grips in stock, and since they're a copy of the stock grips, but in wood, they should be very nice. :-* RC

And that would be who???
I don't know but here is what he posted.
"Unfortunately the manufacturer who was making the Crosman pistol grips for us has gone out of business.
This means that we currently have no further supplies of these grips and will not do so again until we find a new supplier.
Sorry I can't be more positive at this time sad.gif
PS I did post a message about this some time ago on the Crosman Forum.

My guy has NOTHING to do with Archer. I wouldn't give that man a dime of my hard earned money. Just shaying
Wood furniture really adds something imho. If the mods on my 1377 turn out well, I will finish it off with custom stocks.
Thinking about bidding on this set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crosman-2240-1377-wood-pistol-grip-Right-Handed-Walnut-Wood-/331497761325?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d2ece6a2d (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Crosman-2240-1377-wood-pistol-grip-Right-Handed-Walnut-Wood-/331497761325?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d2ece6a2d)
You'd better get to doing it, you only have 4hr and 30min lift. Nice grips. I wonder who made them?

Name of Vernon Austin. I still think he is the same Austin(Josh) that belonged to this forum several years back.
If not I would be surprised.
I have some Vernon grips and he does awesome work :-* :-* :-*

Awesome - be sure to share pics once they are on and ready to shoot! :-*
Perhaps Vern owes me a slight commission fee? ;)
I have wanted a couple sets of wood grips for my pump pistols, but recently have settled on the 2289 forearm and the 1701P grips. Not as pretty as a custom set of walnut grips, but very comfortable for their intended purpose.
Vern makes great grips and they aren't too expensive.I have 5 pairs of his grips I think.
Well I've just ordered a red laminate 2240 set and a white laminate 2250 set from Vern.
Ouch the exchange rate is not in our favour

Well my grips have just arrived.
All I can say is the work is awesome.
And Vernon J Austin shares the same address as Josh. In fairness the address wasn't hidden.
That's beautful! 8)
And another pic.
I got some in red too.
Those are some nice looking grips for sure. :-* :-*
Vernon J Austin shares the same address as Josh.
He went through a few bumps on the road of life ( haven't we all )
looks like he is doing well .....
I never knew Josh, it was before my time on the scene. I have had his grips before though.
Vernon I found to be polite, prompt and an excellent craftsman.
And here are the red ones:
Nice set ... :-*
Wow Gary those are slick!

I have several pair of grips that Josh made for me years ago.
Glad to hear he is doing okay. Was worried about him. :-* :-* :-*
He does excellent work.
I will post some picks, when I can figure out how to reduce size under 360KB.....????????
Walt, if you struggle drop me a PM or my email address.
I will resize them for you bud.
Gary
Try http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ (http://www.shrinkpictures.com/) - I've found it pretty easy to use.
1. Select image on your computer
2. Pixels - 600 is good enough
3. Skip this
4. Quality - better is fine
5. Execute the resize
When it's done, select download, then attach to the post.

I thought the grips that they used to make were fantastic, didn't know they were going to start making them again. I found the website of the guy that makes grip for Crosman but he doesn't have any of his grips listed for retail. He's been doing some really nice laminates or the 22xx's too, would be interesting to see if Crosman makes them available on their kit guns.
Gary those grips look awesome. :-* :-* :-*
You should see some of the grips here
http://www.airgunartisans.com/Crosman_2240.htm (http://www.airgunartisans.com/Crosman_2240.htm)
they changed formats now but there was this guy by the name of Keith he made some awesome grips and some from exotic wood like purple heart wood something like that maybe someone here still has some or knows how to contact him if he is still making grips. Should have bought a set when I had the chance, duh my homer simpson impression
