Title: 1377c Accuracy
Post by: annamariaslim on May 07, 2020, 01:12:47 PM
Starting some indoor 10 meter target shooting and wondering how many pumps for the best accuracy? Does accuracy increase with more pumps, or less? Thanks!

I think that is something you'll have to experiment with. If you are going to be shooting a lot, then I would suggest 4-5 pumps so as not to get wore out 😬

My 2 target rifles (MSP & SSP) shoot around 500 fps, and my 2 pistols are about 450-480 fps (SSP & CO2).

For target shooting, you'll want to shoot wadcutters for clean holes, and they are more accurate at slower speeds.

If you've got a chronograph, I'd start in the 450-500 fps speed range. For a stock 1377, I'd guess this would be 6 pumps for a 7 grain wadcutter pellet.

Sorry: SSP = single-stroke pneumatic, MSP = multi-stroke pneumatic
