Title: as2250 peircing block seal help
Post by: tatsumi on March 05, 2011, 10:35:58 PM
hello,

has anyone managed to change the above? I got a spare from Gmac and tried fitting it today but no joy at all. the original in mine was a flat surface rubber plug almost where the 88g bottle would seal up to but the spare is a o-ring but it seams slightly big for the job.
Cheers,

Ian

Would that be Crosman part number DMC4TA-006?  Crosman parts list for the AS2250XT indicates it is an o-ring.  I've never messed with mine so I really can't help but I would guess it is a little bit over sized so it provides a good seal.

I think that is the part number yes. From what I understand the original over here is a rubber plug type seal but as you said the replacement is this white oring. The o/d matches the groove the block but due to the stiffness Its impossible to get in.
Was yours purchased new carl? Ive tried contacting crosman to see if they can supply an original one like mine but they have no support over here that I can find.

A little more progress on such a simple but frustrating thing.

Gorden at GMAC sells the DMC4TA-006 O-Ring Inner which is what i bought to replace the original flat seal (found an example here http://www.airgunhome.com/agforum/viewtopic.php?t=359 (http://www.airgunhome.com/agforum/viewtopic.php?t=359)) and he now also sell a three pack of "bottle seals" so hopfuly this is the actual part for this. Chambers do the same part as GMAC but listed under OR075.

will post up any benifits for others in such issue.

Bit of both i think Northstar,

Anyway i sent an email to Gorden just as i posted the last bit on here and ten mins later he got back to me so once again top service and dedication. He's confirmed that the Bottle seal is the correct one and is slightly smaller 8) than -006 which makes sence now after trying to shoehorn that dam thing in.
