Title: My CO2 vs HPA mushroom test
Post by: ChokingVictim on July 07, 2011, 12:31:49 AM
I decided to see what the difference in pellet mushrooming from my 2250 CO2 vs My HPA Disco Carbine that I just built from my 2250. The results show what I already knew. My new disco setup packs a punch. The shots were fired with the same 14 inch barrel.

832 fps at 2000psi

As 1377x stated, 'Get er fixed.'  Ya know, an airgun man needs a good chrony cause it makes life easier.

New Chrony came in. she is shooting 832 with CPHP 14.3 at 2000psi.
I could probably get a little more if is adjust the power adjuster in to dump the valve harder but this seems like a nice setting.

CV that is some good numbers you are getting.  What chrony did you end up getting.

a hpa guru told me to add a heavier hammer spring(.040-.041 wire) and power adjuster, should get you an extra 100fps
i had my disco getting 38fpe with a 14.5" barrel and 50fpe with a 24" barrel but there is more to it than what i mentiond

Yeah, I have several hammer springs and a power adjuster. seems like this is the best setup for power and shot count.

shot count is a good thing
at 38fpe and 50 i had a shot count of 5-9 with no change in poa/poi
