Title: 1377 barrel band
Post by: doncoth on July 10, 2011, 04:05:07 AM
I have a question for you guys. Which do you prefer for the pivot pin in place? Retaining rings or using a set screw.  I am working on making some in the near future. Any suggestions will be appreciated thanks for your help.

would the set screw just go through the front of the band and rest in an indent in the pin? if that is what you are talking about i would rather go that route then c or e clips

I think the set screw thru the face of the band makes a much neater assembly.

1 or 2 (each side) set screws with either a dimple or flat where the set screw contacts the pivot pin so it doesn't "walk"
