Title: stuck pellet
Post by: mcc1961 on August 31, 2011, 08:41:13 AM
If u are on a low cartridge and a pellet gets stuck in the barrel can't u just load a new cartridge and blow it out like that or do u have to use a cleaning rod to get it out. Also does it matter which way u try to force it out?

Well, you could do that but in my humble opinion it is better to use a piece of carbon-fiber rod or something similar about 12" long, actual length depends upon your barrel length, and push it out by inserting the rod carefully from the barrel end and pushing it toward the breech end.

I made three such rods in different lengths that I keep handy when shooting.  Of course, if you are out in the field then your method will work best.

I use a brass bar if you can push it out from the back that is the best way if not push it from the front very careful not to damage any thing in line with the barrel.and make sure the gun is not charged. And yes you can install a fresh Co2 to get the pellet out as long as there is not another pellet behind it.
