Title: Best mods for a stock 2240
Post by: andrew5826 on September 02, 2011, 09:52:57 AM
I have a brand new 2240 and everything on it is factory. I want to know, what are the best things to do to it? i want to increase power but not increase the length of it. i want to keep it as a pistol. i've seen some people with that adjuster on the end where you can adjust the power of the gun. where can i get  one of those and are those difficult to install?

This question has actually been asked a dozen times and the answers are scattered throughout the forum.  It would be better if you perused the Crosman 22XX - Technical section and decided what would be best for you and your budget.

The gallery section is also a great place for ideas and pictures of what others have done.

But for a 'Quick' answer, yes you can increase the power of the 2240 without adding a longer barrel.  It is done quite often because like you, others like the clean look of the 2240.  The power adjuster is a simple addition.  You can also change out the valve to get larger gains in power.
