Title: 2240 breech and accuracy
Post by: CO2Freak on January 25, 2012, 10:16:23 PM
A new 2240 is on it's way to me  :P

From an accuracy perspective, could you state that a 2240 with a steel breech is being more accurate than the standard plastic breech ?

Thanks

Yes, I could state that. The steel breech or any aftermarket breech will give the barrel a more solid position and less likely to move on you. That said, shoot it for a bit when you get it as is. Test tighten the screws when you get it. Sometimes they are not tight. Snug should do you, but loose is no good.

Most definitely.  The OEM plastic piece has mucho slop and the metal breech offers tremendous stability.

its more accurate because of the way its held into the breech with a set screw. no wobble
