Title: RC Vehicle for Target Holder
Post by: ginoe on February 14, 2012, 01:05:21 AM
i stopped by the local walmart to find the parts needed for the diy targets (but they didn't have any of the components).

while walking around i also remembered that a few cats on the yellow forum were chatting about mounting a target onto an r/c vehicle. i found an ideal candidate for an experiment; a pretty decent sized r/c truck for $26. using one of those wire hangers from the dry-cleaners & a large rubber band & an old thank you card for a target; i cobbed up my version of a RCVTH (remote control vehicle target holder).

it's too dark & windy out now, i'll have to test it another time.

Looks like a fun project. You can now shoot a running target.

Is it possible to drive the target and shoot at the same time or do you need a driver and a shooter?
Cheers,
Jerry

ha! the initial design was to use the r/c vehicle to move the target to a specific distance to shoot for a single person. i never considered having two people (driver/shooter) using it as an actively moving target. i used a rubber glove to simulate a 'live' target...
