Title: One Crosman?
Post by: NorthStaR on March 09, 2012, 04:15:33 PM
If you could only have one Crosman. What would that Crosman be? And why?

Either a pistol, carbine or rifle but just one.  ;)

Either the 1377 or 1322 simply because of their versatility.  And I started out as a dyed in the wool 2240 guy.  :P

Carl

Okay, then it would have to be the 1322.

Edited because of multiple choice and the originator only wanted one.  :(

Just one Carl, just one.  ;)

Tough choice, but with all factors considered - that'd have to be my 1377.
Reliable, versatile, inexpensive, and easily maintained.

2289g backpacker
its a pistol and a carbine in one package
powerful enough for small game
short enough to maneuver with
adjustable velocity

I would say my 1322.  It is small enough to carry around and powerful enough to take small game and it is accurate.  But i still want them all  :P .

Why did you have to ask this question, now my brain hurts.  :o

I'd have to pick that single six that Mike has.

1377/22 carbine.  It's still a work in progress but is coming along.

Trail NP XL 1500 at the moment but things keep changing. Much a gun!

My 1377 Carbine
Why: Fun, reliable, and versatile shooter.   I've tinkered with every part on the gun. Plus, it is really bling-a-licious at this point :)

if either of my blue streaks qualified (they are pre-crosman), I might have to rethink my answer

P-rod, hands down. Even though I don't own one (yet). I can hunt, shoot targets in either pistol or carbine form. HPA or Co2.

On the someday list, right after a 1701P and M-rod (because we really don;t have to pick just one.....Thank God).

That was my first thought but its only good for about 48 shots and you would have to lug around the the baggage. The Trail XL only weighs about 10 or 11 pounds :-X but is only one item and shoots flat to 100 yards even my stock M-Rod cant do that but its a 22. If I had to pick up and go it would be The XL.

A 1377 or 1322 carbine. Alright, I'd go with the .22 for its knock down power even though I haven't built mine yet.  ;D

P-rod, hands down.

x2 on the P-rod. Versatile, accurate, quiet, multishot, and adjustable trigger are a some of the features that I find appealling.

I agree about the p-rod being a good gun, but annoying to have to pump/fill all the time.
It's the main reason I didn't buy one and decided to mod up my as2250. I'd rather have a buttload of shots available.
Also, good choice on the XL. Great gun all around, except for the times when you don't need all that power!

it only takes 3 seconds to fill a p-rod with scuba tank
just add a bottle then it will have many shots like your as2250

Well as it was I that put forth the awkward question I should really give my awkward answer.

I think I'll sleep on it.  :D ;D ;D ;D

Might be a true statement but in many areas there are no places to fill a scuba tank so it is best if you do like me and just get your own compressor and then you are all set for filling all your HPA guns, and probably your friends' guns too.

Got both.  Bought my real compressor from North Shore COmpressor in Silver Bay, Minnesota.

3.5 Cubic feet per minute output
4700 PSI
3 HP electric motor
Rings on all stages
2300 RPM
23"L x 17.5"H x 15"W
Approximately 87 pounds

Cost about $3,000 plus shipping.

Sorry that may have been me. Only one that would be extreme. I think outside the box. If I could have just one? The power would be out ( no air compressor and the gas pumps don't work so no generator ). Hell I'll take the Mrod the Prod and the hand pump. The old lady can fend for herself. Wait I have five boxes of CO2 so they all can go. The wheel barrow.

One Crosman.

Ney matter, I was only joking. It was because another thread had drifted and 1377x had posted that hijack response. LOL.  :-*

I think my numero uno is a 2250. Not a true rifle and not a pistol - the best of both. EXTREMELY good design IMHO.  :)

I do like the 13xx range and as a survival scenario gun it wins. But day on day I return to my 2250 variants.  8)

12g carts are an excellent invention!  8) My preferred day on day power source.
