Title: Cheap 2240 Laser Sight
Post by: egillman on July 20, 2012, 04:14:54 AM
I just finished installing a laser sight on my 2240 for about $20.  I started with a green laser pointer that I bought on ebay for $10.  I stuck it inside a piece of 1/2" PVC pipe with 1/2" couplers on each end.  I attached it to the gun with a set of 1" diameter scope mounting rings.  I adjusted the aim with small shims - and it works great!  I can attach pictures if you are interested.

Sounds cool!  I had laser sights on a couple of my firearms but I was always embarrassed to turn them on at the range.  You don't realize how unsteady your hold is until you watch the laser moving all over the target 10 yards away  :)

I had them on a CP99 too and they're a blast for plinking cans from the waist!

Lol I was at the indoor range once...maybe 15 yds and this guy was using a laser on a Sig.  I was embarassed for him...it was like a light show on that paper target.  Pretty flower patterns jittering all over.

(sshhh I have one on my USP but I also won't use it at the range for that very reason)
