Title: Crosman 130
Post by: UnRest on August 31, 2012, 03:33:12 AM
Well i got this pistol in a trade and have had lots of fun with it so far. actually im impressed at the accuracy that this pistol is capable of. now i want to get low powered scope and really see what it can do so heres what i think will work.
http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Leapers_5th_Gen_4x32_AO_Bug_Buster_Scope_Illuminated_Mil_Dot_Reticle_1_4_MOA_1_Tube/502 (http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Leapers_5th_Gen_4x32_AO_Bug_Buster_Scope_Illuminated_Mil_Dot_Reticle_1_4_MOA_1_Tube/502)
dont think this will work can someone suggest a good 20yard sight for under $75?

with this mount

i really hope this mount will work if not anyone know of a mount that will?

heres some pics for those who hasn't seen them

cleaned up and resealed

made my own grips

then decided to try 4 different pellets here the results

so the Crow Mags was the best and follow close by by the H&N HP

I don't use scopes on pistols. You can't go wrong with a Leapers, but the short eye relief may be a problem for you unless you plan to shoot using the 'taco hold'.

I have a Barska Contour 2x20 scope with 11" eye relief I have used on a few pistols. It is not too bad and cost around $35. Though this particular scope does not have an AO, I found you can unscrew the front lens a wee bit and it virtually eliminates the parallax problem.

eric has a different kind of scope mount on his 140/1400 one of his vintage guns.i think thats the mount that will fit your gun.

Sweet 130 and i like the grips. I don't have to tell you how much i like the classic crosman guns. Just look at your pic of the gun apart all metal no plastic at all. Congrats on your new shooter you made a good score there.  :-* IMO i would forget the scope on that gun but thats just me.

I have gotten excellent results using NCStar scopes on pistols; they're inexpensive and have a much longer eye relief than the Leapers, which are excellent on rifles.  Nice old gun, and fine shooting! RC

those mounts will not work on a 130 theres no rail has to be barrel mounted far as i can see.

im also going to order these and looks like they carry few other makes as well

Yup, no rail and old-skool breech to barrel hook up.

Have you looked at the Crosman Intermounts? Pyramyd Air and maybe even Wally world.com have e'm. If your optic is mostly ligthweight, they should work fine (assumes a nominal 7/16" OD barrel dim)

while i was at work today at lunch time i had time to test this pistol at 40 ft. im just really amazed at this pistol i was getting 1" grouping at 40'. just so happen a hosp landed in the tree right above my target   :D. pumped it up to 10 pumps looked down the barrel with a Crow Mag in the breech and sent her flying. never heard it even hit just heard the pellet going through the woods 100 yards away. hosp died instantly from head shot. btw there is like 300 yards of woods in the direction i was shooting so no chance of hitting houses. the kicker is the shot was made offhand no rest. gun feels that good since i made my own grips which i molded to my hands. just felt i needed to fill you guys in on what happened today.
