I've been playing with a few of the available iron sights for our guns and have a few things I want to try before I present my results with you brethren. Good times !
But, two of the iron sights happen to be Williams. The MIM and the Diopter. The thing that is killing me about these Williams sights is that on each one, when initially installing to my guns one of the "grub" set screws has stripped on each of these with I swear no pressure applied. I have inch ounce feel for torque (really, I use to do tear down analysis for Tecumseh compressors) and I am telling you that both stopped turning down and stripped BEFORE they hit bottom. The two Williams are the only ones ever. Has anyone else experienced this?
I ordered a Williams Notch on my CCS 2300KT and it was rock solid. None of the screws stripped. the only furstration was getting the sight to mount more-or-less level to the breech.
