I met someone on ebay the makes aluminum parts and ask if he could make a side plate.
It looks to me molded. But not bad looking.
I want to get rid of all the plastic parts.
I believe the old 22xx had metal side plates that may fit. I saw one on ebay but the price was not right for me.

Looks good! Now just color anodize it!
I'm curious if anyone would want a carbon fiber side plate?

The side plate looks good.
I too am trying to replace the plastic, making an aluminium barrel band just now.
I don't mind the pump arm and stock being plastic, just prefer metal for the essential parts for power and accuracy.
Better trigger is next, after the barrel band is done.
black would be nice. But not really going for looks.

I might play around with it a bit, I have about 60sq/ft of CF. I need to inspect the side plate a bit more to work out the logistics of it, but its a deffinite posibilty!
