Title: Help on UK spec transfer port part number please
Post by: droid on November 21, 2012, 05:07:28 PM
Hi guys,

I am sure you may be aware that the UK spec 2240 is kept under power by utilizing a smaller transfer port than normal Countries.

The normal TP everywhere else spec is 3.5mm bore and also used on the UK 2250 this part number is 1322A026

What I need is the smaller version part number for the 2mm bore version.

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Cheers
Gary

It may be 7-2289-001 (7-1322).
It's the sleeve from this EVP: http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/crosman/1377/C1377-EVP.pdf (http://www.crosman.com/pdf/manuals/crosman/1377/C1377-EVP.pdf)

Thanks CM, yes that is the actual one they use in the restricted guns.

The normal size used by everyone else is 0.140" ID (9/64") or 3.5mm in UK money

The restricted one (UK/Canada) is 0.109" (7/64") or 2.7mm in UK money

That difference will put a standard UK 2240 either very close too or over the 6ft lb limit.

Cheers
Gary

you can fill the standard .140 transfer port in with jbweld and drill the size hole you want in it after it sets

Not sure if we have JB Weld over here Ed. I did consider reducing with a washer bit now have the issue sorted see below.

Would you believe that we do not have the correct transfer port available over here in the UK !

Gordon at GMAC has come to the rescue though, he is making me a batch of 10 in the 2.7mm bore.

It is more important to me because I have 9" barrels on all my guns which puts me too close to the edge, if I was using 7 3/4" I would still be close but not as bad.

I have just asked Gordon to do me some with a 2.7mm bore but I suppose you could have any bore you want.

The largest bore I have here is 4mm so that is really the max you could order.
