Hmmm... If your numbers are correct, you got slightly more energy (in fpe) with the lighter pellet.  Normally you'll get more energy (in spite of fewer fps) with the heavier pellet, not the lighter one.  Note however that the lighter pellet will lose its energy sooner, due to the slowing effect of wind resistance on the lower ballistic coefficient.

Hi all this is oldgeorge  I just completed a rebuild on a new 1377 it has a 14-in barrel a buck rail muzzle brake and oversized transfer port still has the plastic breech it I ordered a Steel Breech  it hasn't arrived yet from Crosman I ran it through the chronograph this morning and with the 8.1gr lead pellets h&n I got 347 ft per second then I switched over to the alloy pellets the 5.1gr  and I and got 463.1 fps with 10 pumps both time    I was happy oldgeorge God bless stay safe and well

One of these days I'll get everything I have together again and get a proper count, I've lost count and keep forgetting to add to my spreadsheet... I'm sure there's around 150 but they're all over so hard to tell

Reviving "older" threads is at least a start at resuscitating the forum in general! [...] I believe that the notice at the bottom of the thread (in RED) stating that the thread in more than 68? days old, keeps individuals from replying and suggests starting a new thread. Sometimes this may be the case but other times replying may be totally appropriate.

I'm a moderator on other (unrelated) forums, and I hate it when people think they have to start a new topic just because the old one is old.  I say no; if it's about the same thing, please keep all the related stuff together and don't clutter the forum with more topics about the same thing, which results in all these scattered pieces that should be kept together.  Projects may go for years too; so it makes sense to continue the same topic for the same project.  When a new one is started unnecessarily, things that were in the old topic get repeated needlessly.  Also, if the old topic is continued and if email notifications are working, people who posted earlier in the topic will get a notification that there's a new reply.

When, for whatever reason, my interest in air guns is piqued, I'll head to this site to see what's going on. When I see that new posts haven't been made for months, my interest quickly fades in posting to the forum.  .
RE: my collection, I still enjoy shooting, tinkering and even "fondling" my modded ones. 20 +/- may be my max but reaching any "max" shouldn't preclude participation in this great forum. Just sayin'

Just an update...
I called Crosman on Thursday. New database system so they had to re-enter my personal information.

I was told that they could take my order, but it wouldn't ship for a couple of weeks. The guy started to take my order and discovered that the database didn't have any prices. He told me to call back in a couple of days.

I called today and was told that they can't take orders for a couple of weeks because the database needed to be updated.

Just thought that I would let people know.
