I finally finished (?) my 2250B.  It started out as a custom shop 2300.  The only things that remain of the 2300 are the trigger shoe, steel breech, end cap and valve.  This entire thing came about because I did not pay any attention to the tube sizes and thought I could put the forearm on the 2300.  If I had paid attention I would have ordered the 2400.  So I now have the 2250B tube, fore grip and barrel band, Anthony R. SS safety, brass extended probe with hold open magnet  and SS teardrop bolt handle, Mellon 12" .22 barrel, LPA MIM rear and 760 fiber optic front sights, 1701P grips, frame assembly and hammer assembly and a mr007s long CO2 cap.

Nice collection of parts well executed into a finished product.

Personally, I like the overall look of the gun.  :-*

Very Nice Look to that gun!  :)

Was thinking of getting a 2400 and doing something similar to that... for me to start my adventures of modding... and it would also be a nice gun to teach the kids to learn to shoot

Do you happen to know if those grips would fit on the 2400 frame ok?

Was also thinking I would like to get a magnetic type  extended probe bolt of I could find one. Do you happen to know of he makes one for .177 also?

Thanks!

All grips are the same size.  The ones I have are part #1700-031 & 1700-032.  During my journey I discovered that I prefer these grips to all others, including wood, and I have them on all my guns.  Give fivestar45 a PM and see what he can do for you.

THANKS!

How cool that you are liking them the best! Definitely then be getting them then on a crosman order. Do you happen to remember what they cost?

Even appearance wise I like them so much better... but now I am excited to try them out after hearing you are liking them best!

brent,
You seem to be asking if you can get a "magnetic probe" so that it may hold BB's.  If so, I don't know of anyone making those.  You really don't want to shoot BB's in these rifled barrels anyway because the steel BB's will wear out the rifling.  If you are asking about the extended probe bolt with a magnet in the rear to stick to the hammer pin in order to hold the bolt open while you are loading a pellet, I get mine from Don Cothran.

Or you could just take any bolt and install a magnet yourself... all you need is a magnet, a drill slightly larger than the magnet, and some super glue... I've put magnets in things that spin 7000rpm and that's all that's to it (for those situations I use loctite sleeve retainer and stake the material around the magnet a little though...), some craft stores have magnets, or you could harvest one from a magnetic screwdriver bit holder or something (I've gotten them from all sorts of things). And on the grips, if I remember right from what I read a month or two ago they were under $2 each.

Looking good! I'm thinking of making my newly acquired 2240 look similar...
