... along with my new 1377 Carbine

I've been playing around alot with getting the scope just right, but tonight I decided to see how it faired with different pellets.

5 Shots per target

Nice groups. No CPHP's? I would definately take a scoped carbine back farther.

Yup, I agree after doing this at 5 meters.  However, I'm limited in my garage and cant quite reach 10 meters. I have to open the back door and set up the targets 6 feet past it.  Light is an issue too ... but daylight savings is coming and that will help!

I see people talk about CPHP's but havent come across them

Agreed. But to really find the best pellet(s), you should try to stretch out your range even more.

If you have the room 20 to 30 meters will tell a whole different story.

Walmart usually has them. They group good out of most of my Crosmans.

I agree, that carbine is much more capable than 5 yards. push her back!
I just recently got a large variable scope for my 1322. i don't like the mount for it, as its not as solid but its retaining zero. I guess its just a bit heavy and long.

and I noticed you dais you bought all wadcutters. I wouldn't be too sure over 10 yards, as they seem to open up.

I'll work on the 10 meters setup ... maybe I can find a light that I can make work for tomorrow.

If not, then no reason I cant try saturday am ....  :)

Now I'm real curious on how well it will do at distance.  I think the max I can get is probably 30 meters in the backyard, but I'll start at 10 and work up.  Since I put the gun together, all I've really done is work on the scope settings.

I'll post back ...  :-*

X-2 on Walmart.  I've seen them at Academy Sports, and Bass Pro Shops too.  They haven't grouped as well as some others in my guns though.
When I first got my 2300KT, Crosman Premier Hollow Points and Benjamin Discovery .22 14.3 gr. were the only .22 caliber pellets I could find locally.  They looked identical to each other so I checked the part number on the tin... same number.  WalMart only had the CPHP's but both Academy and BPS had both IIRC.
I did find some Gamo Match Diabolo .22's at Bass Pro last weekend.  Gamo Match .177's did very well in my 1377's but not quite as well as RWS Meisterkugeln 8.2gn.  We'll see how the Gamo Match .22's stack up against the H&N Sport's I've been shooting.

X3 on walmart. CPHP are basically the only kind they carry here. I'm always looking local for other stuff to try.

I guess I really havent paid much attention to hollow points, or any other type of 'game' pellet.  I've only been shooting paper and tin.  Next time in Wally World I'll take a closer look.

I think there is a light on a stand in the garage at work ....  maybe I can 'borrow' it for a day or two to light up the target at 10 meters.

If you are shooting these one hole groups at 10 meters why exactly aren't you entering our monthly competitions?
