Cothran barrel bands?

I was going to order one but he has them listed as "SS Barrel Bands 3/8" and the same for the aluminum bands.Does this mean you have to bore the hole out to 7/16 to make it work? The rear sight mount  Is also  3/8.

i think it's the thickness of the metal stock he makes them out of

Yep 3/8" wide.

i know the barrel band i got the hole was 3/8"
i had to send it back to dc and have the hole enlarged
he dis tell me it should have fit the 7/16 barrel but a mess up in programming caused the defect

Now that I think about it there is no way that the  rear sight mount could be 3/8.Must be a typo.

Maybe it means 3/8 dovetail

That must be it .The foto shows it with a Marbles #69W sight on it.

Deffo the width, he sells them in 3/8" or 1/2"
