peoples choice sounds the best way of doing it
i never looked at the voting results as it wasn't about winning but taking part that counted for me

That sums it up for me.  It was fun.  And I think what made it even more fun was the MAD dash to get 'er done.

Yeah, I worried my poor wife half to death sitting at the desk for a couple of hours fiddleing, searching and yes a few cuss words! She kept coming in every 10 minutes telling me I need to take a break and lie down for a bit.  ;D ;D

Bahh! I'll rest when I'm dead! Had to finish it....I was possessed....turns out I finished a day early though.
Yeah, it was fun!

Really like Chef's idea of household items being worked into the build, as long as it remains safe. Also like the idea of limited rules. Looking forward to seeing the builds and hopefully a lot of "thinking outside the box" builds   :-*  Going down to the workshop to dig through my stuff.

Seems like we've pretty much hashed things out?

1. Build what ever you want as long as it has at least one (1) Crosman part on it.

2. Deadline for posting 00:59 1 September 2013.

3. Six (6) pictures, one (1) being a 5 shot group target (annotated with distance and ammo used).

4. "People's Choice" (favorite gun by popular vote).

I have one question about "household item"....

Can I make a mount for a toilet plunger and call it a mono pod?   ;D

Only if the plunger is still usable  :-*

PS. I love potty humor  ;D

Got me thinking that a toilet brush holder would make a nice bazooka firing plastic ball pit balls  :-*

The original Gauntlet was so impromptu, matter of fact, and KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) oriented that now we are heading towards over complicating Gauntlet II and I for one am worried all the fun factor will disappear.

I agree Carl, probably best not to have a fixed date but instead let Bert drop it on every one at two weeks notice. I liked the panic element of the last one.

Agree wholeheartedly!  Even if we let Bert drop the date at a two-week notice (which I also agree with to keep things interesting), we will be somewhat more prepared than last time with extra parts.
Another point I want to be clear on is, should we add a rule to not be able to cannibalize any part from another gun?  That 's what kept me from entering last time because I didn't have a tube or valve that wasn't already in a gun.  I thought it is understood that it has to be made completely from spare parts but I can't quite tell for sure.

That's why I think you can't fairly or seriously judge anything like this and it is best just being a fun event.
