Wow, that's Scary. Honestly I'd rather purchase new when it comes to stuff like that.

leonardj sure does have stories to tell. A Mark I is safe up to a maximum of 1100 psi based on tests by Tim McMurray. The thought of the frame loaded up with 3000 psi is, frankly, very scary. Be careful with whom you deal.

Len was the one who done all the machining on my MK I HPA, and when I first told him I was planning on running HPA he couldn't stress enough how important it was to stay below 1000 psi, which thankfully I was already aware of...

When I first read that post last night, I had nasty pictures going through my mind of what could very well have been a much worse outcome... :o

HPA is awesome, but make sure you know what you're doing before jumping in with both feet! DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! :-*

that is sickening
who would do such a thing ???
disabling a safety device is not a smart thing to do
thanks for posting this hopefully it will help someone in the future
a regulator tester is cheap to make I have one for testing the output pressure of my regulator
all you need is an asa on/off adapter with bleed off and a 3000psi gauge mine reads by 50psi increments instead of 100
