Hey folks, I'm considering to upgrade my 2240 with a 12" barrel - I'm curious about the looks.

Does somebody has a picture of the 2240 with a 12" barrel ?

Thanks !

Cool - thanks  8)

Seems to be the right size from a looks perspective too and even increases the velocity up too 500fps  :P

The Stace breech definately makes a 12" barrel look in proportion.

Without that breech I think it looks a bit too long for my tastes.

eric

for a pistol, a 12" barrel is as long as you can get away with i think . the breech does help with proportions fer shur

Have to agree with eric, 12" is the absolute max.  At 12" the gun is starting to look out of proportion and aesthetically not quite right.

I've never wanted something so useless in my life.

Does a 10" tube add power or shot count or is it just for looks? CO2 noob here.

Just looks, mostly leaves room for the forearm, not quite enough room for anything on a stock 2240 tube.

Just missed out on answering that :), I guess I'll just say that I like the look of my 2240 with a 12" barrel, now I need to order the 18" barrel for my 2289 so it doesn't have the 7" 2240 barrel there just to keep the transfer port in place...

Have me many an airgun :), count is 102 now...

LOL. I'm so used to looking at 1377's, it didn't click that it wasn't a pump-arm.   :-[

Yes..., I think 12" is the max too indeed...

But I think it's the best compromise between the looks of the 10" and gaining extra power from the 14" barrel  ;)
