Does anyone know the size and thread pitch of the Crosman muzzle brake front sight post?  I have an LPA MIM on order for my 2240 that will be getting a Cothran SS breech and Crosman silver brake.  Consensus seems to be the notch is very wide on the LPA so thinking about trying a white shotgun bead block in the muzzle brake to give me a three dot sight.  Bradley beads from Brownells come in 3-56, 6-48 and 8-40 sizes.  Also metric.  Thanks all.

Pretty sure it is 6-32.  I'll have to look back and check for sure.

You could re-tap the 6-32 hole for the 6-48 Brownells sight but, no guarantee on thread engagement. Still, it's so small and a non-structural part (just sits there)  that a little lock-tite partially dried to build up threads on the set screw should work. I have put shotgun type beads and F.O. sights on many airguns or muzzle brakes and LDCs, it's simple.

Problem with using firearms accesories and parts on Cros guns is thread type/sizes as you noted.

As both Jerry and Brian mentioned the thread is 6-32.

And if you are going to use the Crosman front sight posts there are actually two different lengths you can purchase.

Do you happen to know the part number for the tallest one? Is it the 2300-028 that comes on the 2300s? Need to get one for a crosman break, using a Williams peep sight (not the same one as on the CCS gun).

Brent that is the correct part number for the long post that comes on the 2300S with the Williams sight.
