Screws

Just ordered some 8-32 X 3/4"  button head (allen drive) screws from the bolt depot.  This should replace the majority of slot head screws in my 2400KT.  I checked Lowes and other hardware stores on line. Lowes wanted $51.27 for a 100 screws   The bolt depot was $4.87 for a hundred screws I got them 3/4" so I could cut them down to the sizes I needed. They also had some free downloadable charts for screw identification, sizes, threads, etc; which should come in handy.

I ordered from them in the past, for sets screws for my Tele bridge, and they sent out the stuff pretty quick.

Think I will do an order of these and some other odds and ends cause some of the Crosman bolts are pretty crappy.

I bought my hex drive cap screws (8-32 x 3/4") at my local hardware store for ~ 40 cents each. I hope you have 20 or 30 Crosman pellet pistols, otherwise you're going to have a lot of screws left over ! Flex

When cutting the screw put a nut on it FIRST! Then cut and clean up then last take the nut off. It will help clean up threads when coming off making it easier to install.

That's what I did on all my 13XX and my 2240. Cut them off with my handy grinder. They look better than all those screwed up slot head screws.

I use a dremel with a cutting wheel and cut along the thread have yet to mess up a screw came close to cutting one to shot that was the worst case
