Breaking in new barrel?

When I change barrels on my 1322 (getting an 18"er) does the new barrel need a number of pellets shot through it before it is accurate? 
In other words, do we have to break in a new barrel?

the way i was told to treat it like a new gun clean it and shoot to break it in about 100 pellets then find out what the gun likes

i guess you can call it that
I call it seasoning the barrel usually around 50-100 pellets don't know if there is a standard
its not like a firearm where some guns require a break in

 Best advice I have gotten on a new gun is this: clean the barrel with Goo Gone and shoot it until you get used to how the gun shoots. Some guns, especially springers, can take 500 or more pellets, as they are hold sensitive. After you are used to the gun, (groups should be somewhat consistent from a rest, not necessarily good) then you can start to find the most accurate pellets. Since you have most likely already gotten used to the gun, just act like it's new again.
