Interesting gadget but looks like a lot of work and time for 1 pellet.

Interesting guns but looks like a lot of work and time for 1 air pistol. :D

but yes, I doubt one can compete with the ones for sale. but if someone wants to do it for the sake of doing it, or shooting their own pellets or something.. why not? ^^

i chose to go the make your own pellet route with my .25 disco.
it is not an easy task. keeping the right temp on it is the hard part.
the device in the video looks easier than the mould i am using.
if there is ever a pellet shortage i have nothing to worry about. there are wheel weights fishing line weights ,lead everywhere

IMO you should not use wheel weights for making pellets when i made my own .375 balls for my .36 cal navy colt black powder pistol was told not to use wheel weights they are not pure lead and can damage the gun

yeah
wheel weights are more for shtf situations when a 2289 bugout kit will be a reality
there will be plenty out there
mysilf i use pellets out of the pellet trap for casting. i dont use the crosman pellets though they are some kind of alloy. beeman, jsb, rws i have seperated by brand. the jsb's make some nice bullets
there is a sight that tells how much of each matreial should be used for casting pellets using wheel weight and another lead object. that info is on my other hard drive

Lead + Tin + Antimony and about 650 deg F, maybe a little flux to get the Antimony melted in. High % lead are the softest, the tin and antimony harden it up based on % added and also bring a shine or surface finish that's more pleasing. And, ya gotta keep the impurities skimmed off during the "cook".

Wheel weights and some other common items like sinkers have already got the mix melted into e'm.

This is not my video.
You can find information about the video and the .25 pellets on its side.  http://airgunpelletmaker.weebly.com/

I have made my own Pellet Maker and I can make  5 - 10 pellets in a minute.
