I think you will find that this site caters to the tinkerer. Being that the Crosman 22xx platform lends to a relatively easy opportunity for not to awful much money, that a lot of the folks here tend to build their own HPA shooters. There sure have been some nice ones over the years!

I also am in the process of downsizing my collection, but will never stop building them. I just like it to much. That said, this is my current list as of today;

Pistols
1740 Pistol .177
2240 Stubby Pistol .22
357 Pistols (3x)
1861 Shiloh
2250 HPA (being built now)

Rifles
AF Edge Target Rifle .177
Benjamin Titan NP GP Rifle .22
Benjamin Trail NP Rifle .22
Model 114 Rifle .22
Model 140 Rifle .22
1077 (2x) Rifles .177
2250 Outdoorsman Carbine .177
66 PowerMaster
I Am A Natural Mad Air Gunner  -  Full Of Hot Air & Ready To Expel It Quickly!

114 Rifle, 2240XL Pistol, 1861 Shiloh Pistol, 357 Pistols, Titan GP Rifle, PM66 Rifle, 2400KT .177 LW Carbine, CZ T200 Rifle, Benjamin Discovery .177 Rifle, Hammerli 850 Air Magnum in .22

Hunter2011

That makes sense arkmaker.
I might just get a second 2240 and see how far I can take it.

I suppose I should not think so harshly about a gun (QB57) that is less than $100 with case that works. The wood work is very rough looking... like it needs to be sanded and redone... especially in the slots on the fore.  Very rough.  Like lacquer covered splinters in there.

It is a really cool concept to un-thread it to break it down... or even to change calibers if you have both barrel assemblies, but it is not a tight fit at max hand tight (and I have more hand strength than most) without wiggling and canting as you turn that last 1/4 turn with all might available. The stock sights are somewhat crude.  But for the money... I am saving it for a rainy season when I can go through it some.

Like the industry sights, a little cleaning up, refinishing and tweaking makes a lot of difference.

If I did not see any redeeming potential I would have already off-loaded it, but it may be a good project someday.

Ya... that QB57 is a bit of a "kluge" looking contraption with the wood foregrip sitting as it does and the OEM wood leaves MUCH to be desired.

I had one of it's "cousins" the QB58 and it was rusty, sheet metal junk IMO and the trigger and sidelever were dangerous as hell  >:(

I have quit buying cheap springers about two years ago, even if the guts can be fixed, the cosmetics are almost impossible to improve.
