First oops the destroyer ex are 7.4g I think.

well anyways finally got a few shots off with no wind with my PC77

and yep it is not a scatter gun any more...

So my question is do any PC 77 owners here expect better with stock sights?

The destroyer flier was not my fault this time.  (unless I clipped it loading).

Used a slightly high sight pic for the destroyers because  I noticed they seemed to shoot just a touch low...

used same sight pic for comparisons purposes with the pointed.

I tend to think this is the best I can expect from my stock pistol but,

I am pretty sure I am not as familiar with them as many here...

what say you folks?

That ain't bad at 20 yards.  :-*

Thanks  I am  very happy with the groupings  and hope the get just a bit better once I pick up some domes.

as big as the groups my 2100 and  PC77 started with I was worried  about getting them under control...

I have some 10.5 ultra mags but I feel it is struggling to shoot them. Once I get the longer barrel and stuff the piston/shim the cup then they just might do well...

I just was wondering if it is comparable to the  accuracy others got stock?

I got my fancy lever pin in today, looks good and fits just tight enough to make me happy...

It will probably be Jan before he gets a steel breech and the Daisy 853's  5899  rear peep and  drilled out font barrel weight/sight  with a circular insert.  ( I have always done best with that type of sight.)  (for open sights I prefer post and bead)

Honestly my goal is to hit a Quarter size target  9 time out of ten @ 20-25-30 yards

I do not know if it is doable without a choked or Walther barrel... I think @ 20-25 yards it is with the better peep or an inexpensive scope.

Trigger pull is a bit heavy on all three but also so predictable  that I can take up the slack and sit there like a two stage.  I know exactly when the round is going to go downrange.

I would love a 2200 to round out my set.  I wonder if Crosman still has parts so I could convert an 2100 or Am77?

Well my next update will probably be when the 1322 gets its steel breech and 14.5 barrel.

I will probably ask a few mod question before then...

that's good for 20 yards. stock sights are sort of good for shooting. I used to dot them with nail polish, because I had trouble figuring out where the center was at with a high and thick front sight.  also did quite a bit of hunting with it. squirrel, starling, and HOSPS at  10-15 yards.

I will try that because that is exactly part of my problem the rest is that the front post covers to much  of the target...

I like seeing as much as possible.

Hard to believe but the last air rifle (slightly tuned Benjis and Crosmans) game getting I did was 30-40 years ago, quail and rabbit in  Nevada and dove in Texas...

Could hit or come very near a quarter at 30 yards back then  ( home made peep sight)

But my only pump pistol shooting was someone elses in the mid 80s and just a few times for fun not really worrying about how accurate.

Hunting NOW, well  NO,  but  I do want to make my Carbines and Rifles capable of it, and do know the distance I can reliably hit a quarter is my range...

Here is the reason for no air rifle hunting for me (found pretty much the same) Wa state...
