???Has anyone ever shot the round ball pellets??  I was looking at them andwas wondering how they shot? ???

targettgii

I have shot the Gamo roundball in my 2240 and they shot pretty good at target distance 5 meters. I haven't tried them in my 1322 yet

I have shot the Gamo round balls in both .22 and .177 in various guns.  They do just fine at 5, 10 and 20 meters.  I mostly use them for plinking the resetting target.  they never miss unless I make them miss.  ;)  I am suspecting they are less sensitive to side / cross windage.  Not as tight of groups, but less fliers it seems.  And they have not rolled out my barrels yet.

I was just the other day looking for some in .25 caliber for the new Marauder but unable to find any yet (other than .25 diam steel slingshot shot).   :o

I do use the round balls in my BB guns with rifled barrels some of the magazines wont feed the lead balls and they will cause jams. As far as single shot guns they do work ok but will never group as well as pellets. IMO the lead balls are a waste of money.

Beeman .25 caliber Perfect Rounds work great in my 2540 and were used in my best score ever on the pistol benchrest competition. You can also buy them in bulk at many online ammo vendors under #3 buckshot lead balls, .25"/6.35mm, but I have never used or seen them.

The reason I have asked this because I have tryed all kind of pellets and want to know if they were worth sending the money on ???

It's a matter of taste and the gun that you are going to use them, in it can't hurt to try them they just might work good in your gun.

I've always wanted to try these in my 1325 and 2540. Perhaps this Christmas I will treat myself...

"all kinds of pellets"... meaning you want to try round-ball in a pellet gun or a BB gun?

The round-ball are just as much ($) or sometimes more than economical pellet types.

Brain I had thought about tring then in some of my pellet guns. Just wanted to know if anyone had shot them and how they shoot!

H+N used to make .177/.22 round balls is different sizes/weight just for a fyi .maybe they still do, but as to where you can find them .... ???
TOO many freaks and NOT enough circuses

millipede

i like them. they usually do well out to 50 feet. i havent tried any of the H&N brand though, too expensive. I often think about building a 9mm gun so i can cast my own balls for it. On the slingshot forum ive heard that an 8mm ball will fully penetrate a rabbit and slingshots only shoot about 200fps with that caliber

We don't call them "rounds of ammunition" for nothing!  ;)

Velocity isn't everything, of course but cross bow and bows are not speed demons, either.
